“The budget amendment, proposed by District 4 Councilwoman Roxy Ndebumadu, passed with the needed supermajority of five votes at a late meeting. The proposal also included $20,000 for Employ Prince George’s and $50,000 for the Bowie Interfaith Food Pantry.”
This new plan is not as ambitious as I had initially proposed, however, in light of the new fiscal understanding between my colleagues and I, we are committed to finding ways that will bring additional revenue to the city. Moving forward, we will continue to closely evaluate plans that impact our fund balance. With that being said, I am hopeful!
