"To combat this, Councilwoman Roxy Ndebumadu, District 4, proposed in June legislation designed to help small businesses through direct and indirect grants from the city.
The proposed relief package was initially for nearly $2 million but was eventually lowered to $285,000. Businesses could apply for loan amounts between $5,000 and $10,000."
